why do you keep changing the process for clearing history

In the past month Firefox/Mozilla has changed the process of clearing past history. I started out by installing the Icon in upper rh corner and you would just click on it and it would ask you to select how far back to clear. Last week the Icon was gone and I had to once again follow your instructions to re-install the program to remove History. This time I had to click on that 4 bar Icon upper Right hand side. Now that disappeared? I had to search Fire Fox Mozilla one more time and download the process again. What is going on? Can't you just leave it alone?

Hi,

There is a shortcut to clear the history on Firefox. Just hold Ctrl+Shift+Delete on your keyboard.

Does it help? Please let me know.

Thanks!

Do you mean the Forget icon?

This button is probably in the Customize palette and can be dragged to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list or to a toolbar.

You can also clear the history via the History button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list and that can be dragged as well to a toolbar in customize mode.
