I would like to setup Thunderbird for sending outgoing mails with ISO-8859-2 encoding. Unfortunately there is no such encoding on the list of allowed encodings. Why?

Why do you want to set an 8bit ascii code page for your mail? Most modern operating systems and email use UNICODE.

I need to test something, so I thought Thunderbird will allow me to set the encoding. I'm perfectly fine with unicode in my daily work. Maybe this can be set somehow with about:config?

I have no idea about changing the entries in the list. I do not even know where they come from.
