Two finger scrolling works briefly, then stalls. Clicking above or below the scrollbar button doesn't work, nor does using the scroll arrows after the stall occurs - only grabbing the scrollbar button and dragging it works. Checked this forum and past comments suggesting the fix to this problem is to turn off SMOOTH SCROLLING (firefox preferences / advanced / general) DOESN'T WORK. This on my 13" Macbook Air running OS 10.10.5 with Firefox 41.0.2. is it time to give up on Firefox and return to Safari ?

What version of the Mac operating system? I have 10.10.2 (14C109) and did not have any trouble in bets. However in order to narrow down the scope of the issue, have you tried Safe Mode?
