I have installed the add-on "Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4." When I make an event entry into Google calendar it shows up in my Lightning calendar. Conversely, if I make an event entry in my Lightning Calendar, it does not show up on my Google calendar. I am using Lightning 4.0.4.1

I was able to resolve the issue by removing the Provider add-on and following the process from this site: http://www.technorms.com/7955/sync-google-yahoo-windows-live-calendars-thunderbirds-lightning. Thanks to those that contributed.

Verify your Google Calendar isn't not write protected. Right-click the calendar - Properties Make sure 'Read Only' is not checked.

Thanks for the post, but the read only option is not checked.

Do you have only one calendar listed on the left of the calendar tab? If you have more than one are you adding things to the correct Calendar?

Given Installing Lightning creates a local calendar I am guessing you have more than one and your using both.

Not sure what your question is. I have 5 calendars listed, I made an entry into the Lightning calendar and it does not populate in the google calendar.

The Sunbird solution is obviously outdated. I have the same problem (Lightning picks up Google Calendar entries, but Google Calendar does not pick up Lightning entries. T'bird 38.7.2. Lightning 4.7.0.2. Provider for Google Calendar 2.7. I am not a developer or programmer, but this should not be this hard. If the solution is obvious, I am plenty willing to eat crow.
