I have upgraded to Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. Since upgrading, my Thunderbird 38.4.0 has the top menu, File, Edit, View, etc., shown in white text on a light grey background. The text is almost invisible. My Firefox 43.0.1 does not have this problem. I have tried everything I can in Thunderbird to correct this but have been unsuccessful. Any help with correcting this problem would be appreciated. I've attached an image showing the problem.

That really is rubbish.

You might try a full theme.

On the toolbar then  Add-ons It should default to the get add-ons tab Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "See all complete Themes" on the bottom right corner

Thanks Matt but no joy. I tried several of the schemes and while it looked like the NoGlass one was going to work, after I installed it the text reverted back to the same problem. Something else is happening. I would blame Win 10 but Firefox looks fine. Just TB has the problem here.

IIRC that text is colored by the operating system theme.

Matt, I'll look into that but it seems it should have the same effect on Firefox, but it doesn't. Firefox is OK.

We assume much, but Firefox and Thunderbird are moving further and further apart. A few years from now it might not even be running on the same geko as Firefox does.

It maay even run as an add-on to another browser. Thunderb is looking for a new home, Mozilla do not want to spend time or money on it. So the future is "without" firefox.
