unresponsive and slow

Firefox is super slow. Cannot type in or search. Have sites saved to bookmarked pages when I click on those it takes a long time to open . Then it takes a long time to connect with internal links. Everything is slow. What is strange is that whatever action I want to take, the page appears if I click off of Mightysite anywhere else on the computer. Then it takes me to where I want to go.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
