What happened to themes in v45.0?

Before the Thunderbird 45.0 update came through, I used to use an ad-on called TT DeepDark. Since the update, I get an error message telling me that this add-on is not compatible with version 45.0. Because of a visual impairment, I depend on dark themes so that I can read more easily. I thought at first that it was something with that one individual add-on, so I searched for one to take its place. However, it appears that no theme add-on available through Mozilla is compatible with the latest version. Is there any kind of time frame for when this might be fixed?

I do know that things often depend on individual developer, but since every single theming add-on is currently nonfunctional, I know it isn’t something like dependent on an individual developer.

Is there any kind of workaround in the meantime? I really depend on that dark theme so that I can use Thunderbird more effectively.

The path to this theme is somewhat complex: in TB, Tools/Add-ons/Get Add-ons, then click 'See all complete themes' at the bottom right, then on the new Add-ons tab, hover on TT DeepDark, click 'version compatible with TB 45 ....', and click 'Add to Thunderbird' for v. 11b9.

This version is supposed to work with TB 45:

See picture.

It is up to the Theme author to provide updates as needed to their (complete) Theme(s) for current Releases. The background image Themes are not a issue so much.

@sfhowes thank you! I can't figure out why I can't get to this from inside the Thunderbird add-ons page. I have to bring it up in Firefox. But once installed, it does work.

@james I basically said that in my original post, but what I've been trying to figure out is why ALL of the complete themes are broken. What happened that none of them worked? What major change to Thunderbird was there?

I'm just happy I have it working now, it's MUCH easier to read my mail!

Definitely convoluted. If you look at any of the other complete themes, it's the same way...just really odd. And for someone like me, a real pain in the behind. But thank you all for helping :) Problem solved now!
