Want to access websites that F.F. blocks as "possible trouble"

Question as above! F.F. sometimes 'pops up' in red letters, saying "blocked. site possible trouble" I want to access the blocked site. I trust it.

That doesn't sound like a message from Firefox, but rather from an add-on or security suite.

Please provide a screenshot of that message.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Thanks for the help. Just spent 45 minutes with McAfee (I have "full protection" suite.) They're the ones who said, "problem is not anything we did. Source of blocked msg is Firefox."

I'll try the screenshot later (late for appt) but not sure I know how to do things with other file names, etc. Computer literacy: "C".

Does it look like either of these "test" pages for built-in Firefox features:

Both have a link to "Ignore this warning" if you want to proceed to the page.

Thanks for the help! I've had these on occasion... but the one I now get is just a "pop up" only a few lines deep, that appears under my task bar, above the main text area. It's text is in red, had no identifying symbol, and no "accept this risk" box that I could see. This is why I origianlly thought it was my McAfee security software, but they say "No... source is Firefox." Does this help you help me?

Hmm, it doesn't ring a bell. Maybe it's generated by an add-on?

Probably the easiest way to get the list of installed extensions is to open the troubleshooting information page. Either

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return

Then scroll down to Extensions and just below that heading, select and copy the table, then paste that into a reply. It will look a bit messy, but we're used to it.
