Firefox 53.0 Crashes anytime I open an browse file box to upload, doesn't matter if it's facebook or photobucket etc. I have tried running in safemode andI even uninstalled Flash. I did not have this problem until 53.0 was installed, I don't even get a crash report when I look at about:crashes

I finally found my fix! I uninstalled something like (forget the exact name) Mozilla maintenance support. After that my problem went away! Thank Goodness, it was frustrating!

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports "on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page".

  • click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

I already said it doesn't generate a crash report....I even cleared all the old crash reports just to make sure I would have the latest, I can make it crash every time just by opening a browse file box and yet I get 0 reports. The only thing I get is "Firefox has stopped working". Then it crashes, I open it and it says "well that's embarrassing" then I can restore my tabs.

I can't even add an imagine because as soon as I hit "Browe..." I will crash.

Oh yeah I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling firefox as well, also I tried clearing all the cache

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

As stated in my OP, I tried safemode... I even reinstalled it and it did it with 0 addons installed.

A post was flagged as Solved Problem. Please remove that flag. If you don’t, others that can help may not read this post.

Go to that message, and use the Undo link to its right.

Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
