T'bird is either saving drafts in the wrong folder or failing to erase. When I write an email, it sends correctly but my copy has all the previous iterations.

I thought I had t'bird set to save intermediate versions to the drafts folder. When I write an email, it sends correctly, but my copy in my sent mail folder has all the intermediate saves as well as the final copy which I sent. Am I making sense? I want a copy in my sent mail folder which looks like what I sent, but I don't. I have to dig through all the iterations and editorial revisions and so on. HELP!

Press F10 to display the main menu bar if it is not visible. Tools menu > Account settings Check the information in the copies and folders entry for your account is correct.

My account settings seem to be correct. I have experimented with both custom settings and standard settings (for saving copies and drafts) but t'bird insists on saving to my working directory. Any other ideas?
