I need to see year of email sent for each email. Unfortunately Thunderbird only shows month and day in the date coloumn. Furthermore, when I open an email, again i only see day and month, but not year. Today i caused a big confusion to us. As we had an email 6 years ago but current month and we were trying to understand the issue. Actually it was very old email, but as we couldn't see the year there was a confusion. Is it not really a bit silly to not to see YEAR when we open an emai, and also in emails list coloumn ? So strange.

Make sure your computer clock format is set to MM dd yyyy. Thunderbird uses the date format of your computer clock.
