On a new Windows 10 Pro install, I can't get Firefox to recognize my correct password.

I had to put a new hard drive into my computer. I've downloaded and installed Firefox and want to sync my account on this machine, but am getting an "incorrect password" error when I try to sign in. I verified the password on a different device and the password I'm using is correct. I have Firefox on 4 other devices and do not want to have to change my password. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

No insult intended. Make sure the password is correct, each letter is the correct case, and the password field is blank.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Sorry, Fred. I appreciate you taking the time, especially on a Sunday night, but this didn't solve the problem. I'm going to try restarting the computer after installing a Windows feature that I got a pop-up about, in case that was the missing link.
