Hi,

I have seen the below article and couldn't find the turnoff options in version 67.0(64-Bit). Can you please help me out on this?

Turn content blocking off on individual sites Sometimes content blocking can prevent pages or parts of pages from loading. If content blocking interferes with your browsing, you can disable it on individual sites. The shield icon appears in the address bar when Firefox is actively blocking content on a page.

Select the shield icon Address bar shield or the information icon site info icon to expand the Control Center panel. content blocking panel 65 Click the Turn off Blocking for This Site button from a normal browsing window to disable blocking for the website. If you're in a private window, click the Turn off Blocking Temporarily button (see below). Once content blocking is disabled, a shield icon with a strikethrough shield icon strikethrough will appear in your address bar. To turn content blocking back on, expand the Control Center panel by clicking the shield or the site information button site info icon and click the Turn on Blocking for This Site button.

What article? And what site or sites are we talking about? Others must be able to read the link to the article and see or go to links of the site to know what is being asked for help on for.

Hi spsrikanth2000, the phrase "mixed content" usually refers to an HTTPS page that links in some HTTP resources (images, scripts, etc.). Is that the situation?

On the drop-down Site Info panel, mixed content issues are addressed in the Connection section instead of the Content Blocking section, where you'll find info on tracking scripts and third party cookies.

I made a demo page that may help you spot the different types of blocking:

https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/blocking.html

Does that help clarify the situation?

A little searching with https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/search/advanced in Knowledge Base section would get you the articles.

The OP is referring to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/content-blocking#w_turn-content-blocking-off-on-individual-sites (may need to scroll up a little when page loads depending).

And there is this article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mixed-content-blocking-firefox

Hi,

Thanks jscher. Under the connection, I can go and click on the "Disable protection for now" button and then its working fine as expected, its allowing mixed content. But this is not saving permanently and every time i need to do this when i logged into this site. Is there way, we can "Disable protection" permanently for a particular site in mozilla?. Please let me know

Thanks, Srikanth Subramanian

Not for a particular site, I don't think. There is a global setting in about:config, security.mixed_content.block_active_content, that would affect all sites.

What content is this about if you check the Web Console (filter: mixed) ?
