How to open a link from a search page in a new tab? A pain going back to search page to get another link. Sometimes I want 2 or 3+ links open & can't do it unless copy the address & paste in a blank tab.

Right-click and select Open In New Tab.

You can hold the Ctrl key and left-click the link or middle-click the link with the mouse scroll wheel.

A search engine like Google has a check box on its settings page to open a link in a new window, which Firefox can divert to a new tab.

Firefox comes with some prefs on the about:config page to force opening some links in a new tab.

  • browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs
  • browser.search.openintab

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".
