firefox memory consumption

what is wrong with memory consumption? It makes firefox unusable, lagging, slow as hell. Is it possible to fix it? If not, then I will have to ude another brower. Thank you. PS: screenshot shows memory consumption as shown in browser task manager and windows task manager.
