Reinstall ESR on old Macbook Pro with OS 10.11.6

I accidentally deleted Firefox ESR that worked fine for years on my old Macbook Pro laptop (2009) running El Capitan OS 10.11.6. Now I can't reinstall it unless my OS is a minimum of 10.12. I don't want to mess with attempting an OS upgrade for fear of losing files and photos. This computer is strictly a nostalgic backup that I would like to keep functioning for a while longer. Any way around this?

Firefox 78.15.0 is the last version for your Mac OS X platform (update channel: mozilla-mac-eol-esr1) and you will no longer receive updates, so you are out of luck if you can't update your OS.

In case it helps, the English (US) dmg installer for Firefox 78.15.0esr can be downloaded here: https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/78.15.0esr/mac/en-US/
