noone provided a answer to that question if it's possible to circumvent mozilla ceriticate apocalypse by turning back system time to a "supported" year like 2024... and also noone ever provided any anwser regarding other possibilities to circumvent mozilla apocalypse. there must be some solution for this, keeping good old loved addons active, not having to DOWNGRADE to ugly proton eye cancer and less functionality!

why had mozilla to introduce this certificate shenanigans anyway? this is by far the most USER-HOSTILE decision mozilla ever made!!! and mozilla made lots of of USER-HOSTILE decisions like that ugly proton eye cancer thingamajigs, just to name one other example... seriously, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?

There is no "certificate apocalypse". A certificate has been updated in Firefox and we are keen that everyone updates so that supported add-ons keep working.

If this was not done, add-ons for many people would stop working.

A "user-hostile" decision would have been to not do this. That work on this has been proceeding for months gives some indication of how much we are trying to help users through this.

Please can you be mindful of the Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines in this forum.
