I cannot receive Thunderbird emails because my storage space is at 100% (10 Gigabytes)

Can I expand my storage space above 10 Gigabytes (and if so, HOW?) Or can I delete emails to free up space. I have been archiving my older emails about every 3 months but that has not helped with the storage space issue. The only email that I have that is still working is DrLeeCowden@gmail.com. Thank you.

"Archiving" doesn't free up space, unless you are moving messages from your gmail account to a Local Folder in Thunderbird. Archiving just moves the message from the current folder to the archive folder.

Yes, certainly, you can delete email from gmail. It then goes to the Trash folder, where gmail ages it out (deletes it) after 30 days.
