When I had Google Chrome I was able to have my hotmail address show up ready fro log in. I only had to enter my password. At the moment I have to enter the address and password. I always delete my history...how can I have my email address permanently ready at sign in?

If you only want Firefox to remember the name then you need to enable save form data and disable the Firefox Password Manager. You can also use a form fill extension.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"

Thanks...I tried but failed!! I've done the 'add on' suggested. I'm a luddite, please walk me through what I should put in each box on the PRIVACY tab of TOOLS OPTIONS to have my email address automatically show up when I go to 'hotmail'. Thanks again.

What are your settings here:

  1. Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: [?] "Remember passwords for sites"
  2. Tools > Options > Privacy > History: [?] "Remember search and form history"

To see all the History and Cookie settings, select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

I need to know what to put in EACH box of the 'Privacy' page of 'Options". Please let me know if this page is not standard and I will send you all alternative answers for each box and you can tell me how to 'fill it in'?
