You see i'm trying to install Adobe FlashPlayer Square onto a 64bit motherboard. That landed me at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/installing-flash?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Installing+the+Flash+plugin#w_installing-the-flash-plugin-manually. The trouble now is that i don't know what the sudoers file is & how to add a new user to it. If any of you can make any sense out of the predicament as stated by me i'll be grateful (by helping where homeopathy & numerology are concerned). keti.zilgish@gmail.com

Do you know the root account password? If so, you shouldn't need sudo. Rather, you should be be able to elevate to root by entering the following command

su - root

That prompts for the root password which, if entered correctly, should result in your obtaining root privileges. In that case, you can run the "cp" command without the sudo prefix and it will work as expected.

Disclaimer: It's possible to do serious damage as the root user. If you have any further questions or doubts as to the procedure, please get support through a channel related to your Linux distro. Linux administration procedures are ultimately beyond the scope of this forum. You are apparently using Fedora, so you could ask for help in the Fedora forums or in their IRC chat channel if required.
