How can I make Google Advanced Search the default for the navigation bar search?

In Firefox 5.0 I want to make Google Advanced Search replace the default search in the navigation window. I know I can add it to the bookmarks toolbar but this takes up screen real estate and I would like to NOT have to view the bookmarks toolbar and still be able to quickly go to Google Advanced search as a default.

I see I failed to make myself clear. I am NOT referring to the search carried out in the address bar ( where I might enter: "http://someplace.com" ) I am referring to the bar to the right of the address bar, the one with the hover label "Search using Google". I had hoped in using that bar to go to the Google Advanced Search page but I see now that what would have to be done is replace that window with a bookmark pointing to the Advanced Search page since more than the one line allotted would have to be entered. Thank you for your speedy reply. Now that I better understand what I want I will research further to see if I can do this myself.

Either install a Google search engine for that advanced search page (http://mycroft.mozdev.org/) or edit the existing google.xml file in the \searchplugins\ folder in the Firefox program files folder.
