Blackboard and earlier version of firefox. Cannot upload with new version for school work.
I am having a problem with one of my professors. We are unable to upload work to be submitted via blackboard because it has been told to us that we have to download Firefox 3.62.7 which is a older version. After removing the newer version and downloading the old version, submitting the work and trying to keep it at the same one which is 3.62.7 instead of going backwards and forwards, firefox crashes constantly. I do have an updated version of java. This has not been a problem until this semester. Is it true blackboard only supports 3.6 or is this a load of bs because the professor has older versions of word. Believe me this is very frustrating for the whole class.

You can install the portable Firefox 3.6.x version to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.
Blackboard has certified the latest release version of Firefox, but your school may not be using the latest version of Blackboard.

Firefox (Final Release Channel) is compatible with BB Release 9.1 SP7
That means that every version of Firefox is certified or compatible as soon as it comes out.
