Hit {Ctrl + P} and choose Selection in Print Range.

I have done that,,, the but the problem is that when I print selected it prints the right side of the instead of the whole page. Also when I do a print preview it shows the whole website instead of what I selected.

the "select" circle remains gray and won't allow it. Any other suggestions?

Printing selections is not one of Firefox's strong points.

To jsismyrock:

You're right, Print Preview only shows the full page; it isn't useful for printing a selection.

The position of the selection on the page depends on how the page was laid out. Firefox sometimes will isolate the selection at the beginning of the print job, but very often will keep it within the original layout and simply blank the rest of the content. This can be wasteful.

Here are some workarounds:

(1) Nuke Anything Enhanced extension

See: When using print selection in Firefox 12.0, it prints wherever the selection is on the page (on paper) instead of at the top of the page (of paper).

(2) Use a bookmarklet (snippet of JavaScript saved as a button on your bookmarks toolbar) to isolate the selection for printing.

This is the technique I generally use due to force of habit. The details are in this post.

Do you have this same problem on all pages, or only particular pages?
