Drop down menus are black boxes, ie - bookmarks, left mouse click, type address in address bar. HELP

When I click on my bookmarks the menu drops down and the window is all black. I have to move the mouse all around the drop down box to show the bookmarks. This happens with the address bat and when I left click on the mouse. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it, yet the issue keeps happening.

hello, it might be an issue with hardware acceleration. please try updating your graphics driver (this should be the right version for your system: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22375), or in case this doesn't solve the issue disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general.
