Are there any settings in the options (or anywhere else) that I can use to set up an auto confirm and resend without having to manually click the ‘resend’ butto
There is a certain website I use that I refresh frequently. Every time I do I get a pop up message labeled ‘Confirm’ with a question mark in it that says; “To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier." It only seems to be a problem with this one particular site. Are there any settings in the options (or anywhere else) that I can use to set up an auto confirm and resend without having to manually click the ‘resend’ button in the pop up window?

You get an alert about resending POST data if you go back to a page or refresh a page that was previously requested from the server by submitting form data via a (hidden) POST form.
Firefox can only make sure to get the same page by resending that POST form.
Firefox doesn't know what that form data means, so Firefox asks for confirmation before resending that form data as such an action can cause you to repeat an action and buy another item or post a message another time.
A way to prevent that pop-up is not to use the Back button, but to open links from a page that was requested from a server by sending a POST form in a new tab (window) with a middle-click or a Ctrl + left-click.
Then you can close that tab or window to go back.
My problem is the opposite. I am working on a page that I receive...Error saving the journal. Perhaps your session has expired-try reloading the page. I used to receive... “To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action Now I do not and I lose info that was entered. How do I get this to pop u again so I can save my messages. Using Firefox 22.0 u to date
Hi cor-el, Thanks for responding;
I am accustomed to seeing this type of pop up on occasion and understand why they are necessary to prevent duplicating orders, payments, etc. I am not using a back button, I wanted to use an auto-refresh app to search for reservation openings on a certain web site and can not because this pop up requires me to manually push a button every time the page refreshes. I am resending the same information every time (a date range) via the POST form, so, was hoping there was a way to either disable, override, or set up and auto response so I can use the auto-refresh app. Your description of how to avoid the pop up didn't entirely make sense to me, but If I have to do a bunch of manual steps in between each refresh attempt it doesn't matter because I'm no better off.
I accidentally clicked a link from my email. I did not mean to choose EEagle's response as a solution since s/he is experiencing similar difficulties. I do not see any way to 'undo' from my screen. Would the 'power's that be' kindly un-mark this so that it can remain active and as of yet 'un-solved'. Thx
I have clicked the Undo button next to that reply. You should have seen this button as well.
Thanks
@cor-el

Such an alert is to make you aware that there is a possibility that something can go wrong if you resend the page.
Firefox can't be sure that things can't go wrong.
This also happens occasionally on this forum and a resend can make the post appear twice.
I open the page in a new tab with a middle-click on that entry in the tab history drop-down list (Back button) to check whether the reply has been posted or if I need to resend the post.
You can't suppress this warning because this is considered as important by the Firefox developers.
