For some reason a couple months ago some site like ebay when it says mouse over to zoom it will not zoom on the picture. Also on Victoria's secret when you hover it doesn't zoom nor can i pick on pic to see a different view or color. I reinstalled Firefox and it still does the same thing. I created another user to see if it would still continue and it still does happen. I disabled all extensions and even tried safe mode. Problem still persist. Even on the VC site i can not pick a size or color when ready to pick out and it happens on certain site not all.

Are this real pictures or is a plugin like Flash involved?

What do you get if you right-click such an image and possibly select Inspect Element?

Well Im figuring its real pictures but since its eBay Im not sure. Victorias secret the same but whats weird is if I'm at Hollister or abercombie even new egg the pictures will zoom and work fine just certain sites won't If I select inspect element a screen at the bottom comes up with code

Do you see the normal image context menu if you right click and does to code that you see in the inspector window has an image tag (<img src="http://<path_to_image>" >)?

I have this problem, also. It started when I upgraded from stub 20 to stub 24. I first noticed it on www.gocomics.com when trying to magnify their images. It occurs on gif or jpg images. One current link is <http://www.gocomics.com/9chickweedlane#mutable_1082587>.

That link works for me, so make sure that you do not block JavaScript.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
