I installed Adobe Flash Player when it was declared missing by a video. It does not show up in the Firefox Add On Manager. How can I fix this?

It doesn't display in your system details on the support forum either.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back soon.

Do you have a user.js file located in Firefox's program directory or application data?

This file can cause many Firefox issues, please delete it (unless you made it yourself).

WARNING: Removing folders/files can cause damage to other programs and the Windows operating system. use caution when manually deleting folders/files.

Can you play Flash objects in Firefox?

Sometimes Firefox still doesn't find the Flash plugin after you run the installer. This thread lists some additional things to check in that case: installing flash player.
