When I forward an email containing photos, the photos weren't forwarded with the email - only text is forwarded. How do I fix this?

I received an email containing from a friend containing photos or bears, I tried to forward it. Only the text was sent however, and the photos were left out. How do I sent photos in forwarded emails? I'm running Firefox 38.0.5, and Thunderbird 31.7.0.

Thank you.

This is quite a common issue in Thunderbird. I suspect that the original message uses links to fetch the messages from an online resource, so they are fetched dynamically when you view the message.

Sometimes the only solution appears to be to download the images (right-click, save as) then add them (by hand) to the forwarded message.

In some cases, saving the message to Local Folders in Thunderbird is enough to force remote images to be downloaded.
