Open FF39. Cursor touching any image initiates a down arrow in a box to download said image on currently display web page. The arrow box often fully obscures the image which can be a login button for a website. This is more than very annoying. The download/arrow box frequently disallows login completely. How can I disable this FF39 feature permanently?

It's not a built-in feature. Possibly added by your extension "Double-click Image Downloader"? The extension's page says the one-click download is optional, so hopefully you can find the setting to turn it off. I'd start on the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, find that extension and look for an Options button.

Can you fix it?
