Calendar integration causes Thunderbird to frequently lock up (not responding)

Integrating Google calendar with Thunderbird. Today pane often doesn't update at all (shows the previous date and no events), though if I open the entire calendar it will show all events. Frequently locks up and shows "not responding" vastly slowing down the receipt and reading of emails. Did not have a problem before integrated calendar (which is a feature I really like).

There are some calendar fixes coming in a week or two with Thunderbird version 38.3.0. PLease update this topic when you have the updated version
