I am unable to move my tabs by dragging them left or right?
Hi,
I am using Firefox 48.0, and Windows 10.
A few months ago I noticed I was unable to move my tabs by dragging them left or right. I tried closing Firefox, and restarting it, but this didn't work. Then I switched my computer off, then on, and opened Firefox, but this didn't work either. I assumed I would need to uninstall and reinstall Firefox to fix the problem, and today I did that, but that didn't work either. I then restarted my computer in Safe Mode to see if that made any difference, but it didn't.
Things I have tried to fix it: 1. Closed Firefox, and restarted it. 2. Shutdown my computer, switched it back on, and opened Firefox. 3. Uninstalled Firefox, then reinstalled it. 4. Uninstalled Firefox, and deleted any left over Mozilla or Firefox folder in the C drive > Program folders, and the C drive > App Data > Roaming folder. Then reinstalled Firefox. 5. Started my computer in Safe Mode. 6. Did a Windows 10 Start Up Repair to check for any errors - none found.
So, I am still having the issue after trying these things. So, what is causing this problem, and how do I fix it?
Thanks

Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files (x86)
Mac: Open the "Applications" folder.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac
Linux: Check your user manual.
Do Not remove the profiles folder.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.
Hi,
I tried what you suggested above, and it worked.
Thanks for your help.

Do you have any tab add-ons?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Yes, the issue is still there.
I tried opening Firefox in Safe Mode before I uninstalled Firefox. But, the issue was still there. So, I uninstalled Firefox, and reinstalled it. However, the issue is still there after reinstalling. How can this issue be fixed?
Thanks

Hi,
I went to C drive and opened the Program Files, and Program Files (x86) folders. But, I don't see an 'Applications' folder in either of the Program Files folders?
There is a 'Mozilla Firefox' folder in C drive > Program Files (x86) folder. However, previously when I uninstalled Firefox, I then manually deleted this 'Mozilla Firefox' folder (as it still remained after uninstalling), then reinstalled Firefox.
So, by deleting the 'Mozilla Firefox' folder from Program Files (x86) after uninstalling Firefox, surely it would have removed any traces of Firefox from my computer before I reinstalled Firefox? And therefore being a clean Firefox installation.
Yesterday, I used CCleaner to check and fix any broken Registry Files. However, after it did this the issue with Firefox still remained.

Other systems call the programs folder the Applications Folder. Note; my Windows instructions above states Programs Folder.

No. If you just remove the program from the hard drive, the registry and other settings (if there are any) will still be there.
