Why is the remember logins and passwords box keep unchecking
I noticed today when I opened Firefox that all my login details, (i.e. email address, user name and passwords) were no longer listed. Therefore, I immediately went to my options menu, went down to the "Privacy & Security" section to see if the "Remember logins and passwords for websites" box was checked, and to my surprise it was UN-Checked. Obviously, I then CHECKED the box and closed the tab.
Just to make sure it worked, I closed my browser, reopened it and immediately went to the "Privacy & Security" section only to see the box was once again UNCHECKED. Can somebody tell me what is going on?
Thank You

I am experiencing this too, I am having to check the box everytime I relaunch browser

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

The only thing that may apply is my Norton 360; however, I do not have anything that says: "Firefox Privacy Cleanup." I do have two other options that are enabled that says: "Firefox Temporary File Cleanup" & "Firefox History Cleanup;" however, this never changed my preferences before. Also, I do have CHECKED in my Firefox settings "Clear history when Firefox closes," but I have ALWAYS had this checked and it never affected my "Remember logins and passwords for websites" setting before. This just started today and it's driving me CRAZY! Also, when I look at my "Saved Logins" all my data is there. Something is UNCHECKING that box.

This is terrible.
Leave Norton out of it, I have Norton Security on 4 Systems, no issues.
Please Refresh but do this 1st:
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
then
TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Note: Advanced SystemCare is an example.
@Hvnly777:
I see the RoboForm Password Manager 8.4.3.8 (rf-firefox@siber.com) extension listed in the System Details list. This Password Manager possibly overrides the builtin Firefox Password Manager and disables it.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems
If you have the "Trend Micro Password Manager" installed then uninstall this application via the Windows Control Panel.

I have this version of Roborform: Copyright (C) 1999-2017 Siber Systems Inc. Version 7.9.31.1 (en-english, ENU) Nov 13 2017 10:33:23
It is roboform that's causing mine, tried disabling it and the box remains checked
That was very good work. Well done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
In the event that the passwords information is lost, you
should record all information in a separate text file
somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down.
You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If
you are concerned about someone else looking
at that file, you can compress it using a password.
