Sometimes Firefox will send websites the wrong content-type for an upload if this settings file has become corrupted: mimeTypes.rdf
Could you try this:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" / "Show in Finder" / "Open Directory" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
"* 3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- (menu bar) File > Exit / Quit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename mimeTypes.rdf to mimeTypes.old.
Start Firefox back up again. Does the Google Drive upload work any better?

Can you clarify what you mean with "I uploaded a file to chrome" ?
I was filling out an application on my phone at the end I was asked to upload an approval letter. I did upload approval letter but on my Android phone it is in chrome and the they can't receive chrome docs. Does this answer your your question?
Hi klinkhameram, to upload the file, you most likely need to make sure it is saved on your device first in the correct format.
If you want to try the upload in Firefox on Android, there are two options:
(1) Legacy Firefox for Android app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox
This app is being phased out.
(2) Firefox Preview
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.fenix
This app will eventually replace Firefox for Android.
