thunderbird inadvertently marks messages as spam
Since 2 releases (now using 78.5.1) almost every message I read in my inbox (or any other folder) gets marked as spam by Thunderbird. Very annoying. I switched off spam detection if the account setting but no avail.
Example msg headers: X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -1.511 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-1.511 required=5 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, DKIM_SIGNED=0.1, DKIM_VALID=-0.1, DKIM_VALID_AU=-0.1, HTML_MESSAGE=0.001, HTML_MIME_NO_HTML_TAG=0.377, MIME_HTML_ONLY=0.1, SPF_HELO_NONE=0.001, SPF_PASS=-0.001, T_KAM_HTML_FONT_INVALID=0.01, URIBL_BLOCKED=0.001] autolearn=no autolearn_force=no
And yet Thunderbird marks it as spam as soon as I click on the message in the message list.
Any idea how to solve this? TIA!

your mail-server, which receive the email , has set a Spam score that is negative : -1.511 . mail-servers uses software for detecting spamness of received emails & sets that META tag in email. you may need to disable Spam/Junk option , in your MSP/ISP's web mail access site.
TB itself also has such software/detection logic builtin.
so when TB gets/receives it from your mail-server via POP3/IMAP, then because of negative spam score AND its internal Spam/Junk detection logic it may mark it as Spam.
so change settings that are related to SPAM / JUNK / BULK-MAIL , etc : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages
in this area, there are too many senders & receivers to put under a very narrow set of filter logic, so you have to train your Thunder BIRD like your pet animal, and train it on what to do.
but i understand you want to forcefully put all emails in Inbox, even if its detected as Spam/Junk.
1. Go to Tools -> Options -> Security -> Junk tab , clear all the check boxes, and then click OK.
*
2. Tools -> Options -> Security -> Email-Scams , clear the "Tell me if the message I'm reading is suspected email-scam" -> ok.
*
3. Go to Tools -> Account Settings -> Local Folders -> Junk Settings, clear the "Enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account" check box, and then click OK.
*
4. Go to Tools -> Account Settings -> My mail -> Junk Settings, clear the "Enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account" check box, and then click OK.

AntiVirus(AV)/SecuritySuite(SS) software can help to keep your computer protected, info here (PART-3 & PART-4).
Thanks Erik! The setting for the local folders was new for me, so I changed that setting as well; all the others I had already changed. But this doesn't fix the problem :-(. Even messages without an X-Spam header get marked as spam. And this behaviour is new since 2-3 TB releases, so I really think there's been a change in how TB handles massage filtering.
If a message is marked as Spam, not Junk, that is done at the mail server, before the message reaches TB. Access the account in webmail and whitelist or unblock the messages or senders, possibly by adding them to webmail contacts.
seems to be solved since TB v78.9.0 :-)
