Cannot print from Firefox in Win 11, unless I log in as a different Windows user?

I cannot print from Firefox. It worked fine, and then stopped. I'm not sure what changed. It doesn't matter what printer I use. Even printing to PDF fails. No errors appear, and nothing shows up in the printer queue. All the other applications in Windows print just fine. It's just Firefox. And just for this one Windows user.

I tried clearing the saved printer settings in the about:support page. I tried refreshing Firefox. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I tried uninstalling, removing the mozilla folder in %appdata%, and reinstalling Firefox. No luck.

The only time I can get it to print anything is to log into a different user account on this same PC. Printing from Firefox seems to work then.

It seems there is some user-specific printer setting/file/whatever that is messed up. I'm not sure what else to try.

I'm still having this issue almost four months later. Anyone have any suggestions?

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Thanks for the advice! I just tried it. Unfortunately, creating a new profile did not resolve the issue. I still cannot print or save to PDF from the new profile. No errors display, nothing appears in the printer queue that I can notice, but nothing comes out of the printers. Yet the printers work on all other applications on this PC.

Any other suggestions?

After enabling the operational event log for the PrintService in WIndows 11, I see that when I try to print with Firefox, an entry saying this:

Document 3, Print Document owned by jason was deleted on SHARP MX-2610N PCL6. No user action is required. This shows up as Event ID 310 "Deleting a document."

It seems that something is deleting my print jobs before they actually print, but only when I try to print from Firefox.

Anyone have any ideas?

Reboot the computer into Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
