Getting a Send Message Error using Thunderbird.
Been using Thunderbird for 10 years and just recently I started getting the following error message which has my PC mail client locked up and my phone mail system also is unable to send mail.
Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. The server responded: <larrybax2r@charter.net> service temporarily unavailable. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1390.
Of course I tried Spectrum technical support and they were of no help. They said it is not their error message and they blame it on Thunderbird.
What do I have to do to fix this?

Puzzling that they would deny owning an error message from spectrum.net. Anyway, you didn't say whether you were sending to one recipients or to a bunch of recipients. If sending to many, I suggest using the mailmerge addon, as that seems to be at the core of the issue. I agree, that is not good support.
Well, their technical support appears to be trash, but the error message provided by their SMTP server is unusually informative. Have you checked the web page the SMTP server gave you to see what the error code means? It says this:
Spectrum limits emails by the number of messages sent, amount of recipients, potential for spam and invalid recipients.
Unlike other much more cryptic error messages we're used to see, this one is pretty clear about what the problem is…
