I made a compete copy of my old firefox on my computer that crashed due to a virus. I have installed firefox on the new one (both are XP). How do I find and/or move/copy my old bookmarks to the new firefox? Thanks. Have no idea what file they are even in.

Your personal information is in the profile folder. See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile You may also need this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders

When copying data from your OLD profile to your NEW profile, copy individual FILES (some require more than 1 FILE). DO NOT copy the entire OLD PROFILE folder; it will not work.

No way to use the recover as it was not a back up of bookmarks but just a complete copy of FF.

"See: Recovering important data from an old profile" showed me what I needed to move - file is places.sqlite. Had trouble getting it to copy to the same folder in admin but finally got it over. Thanks a LOT. Over 200 bookmarks that I thought I might not recover for business and personal. Thanks again!!!

You're welcome.

The file places.sqlite has bookmarks and any history that you had kept.

I posted that link in case you had passwords or other information that you needed to move.
