i did a fresh install of firefox and restored my settings from a backup firefox won't remember user names or passwords that i ok it to remember.
i restored my computer to factory and did a fresh install of Firefox . after the install i did a restore of the backup from the previous install before i reformatted to factory. now when i go to a site that i had a password saved it isn't there and when i input the information and click on the button to remember the password and user name it does nothing. the other buttons work fine but the save or remember does not. is there a way to fix this?

Did you copy both key3.db and signons.sqlite form that backup to the new profile folder?

i figured out how to fix this problem. did an uninstall and left my setting on the computer when i did a new install it was all fixed. working just like it did before to new install.
Hi madballjs.. I tried the following your solution and uninstalled my firefox and choose to leave my settings during the uninstall.. I've re-installed a fresh Firefox 3.6 however still having the same problem.. the Remember button doesn't work.. the others do i.e Never for This Site and Not Now .. Any other suggestions ?
