Firefox will not remember my home page setting and revets to the default everytime I open it.

After the last update to 3.6, firefox will not remember my home page settings and reverts it's default home page every time I start it. If I go to tools>options>general>use current page> OK it shows the correct page setting (comcast.net) but reverts to the firefox welcome page and start pages when I exist then reopen the program.
