Firefox states update. It starts to update and seems fine but then it states restart Firefox and does so. After restarting it states software update and starts but never finishes it just keep running through software update. This has happened more than once. What's up?

First of all, what kind of lingo is "Firefox states update"?? "It starts to update and seems fine but then it states restart Firefox and does so..." Would you please explain what you are trying to say with these sentences? Which version of Firefox do you have? Do you have a good solid connection to the internet? In Windows 7 this could also be related to administrator privileges. Perhaps if you explain your situation more clearly, someone here will be able to help you.
