Why do I never get an answer to any questions asked on this forum for years now? Why does Firefox Feedback not work? Why does Firefox Suggestion system not work? Why have I switched to Google Chrome (I can answer that last one).

I keep asking questions about problems and see them posted in the "support" forum and usually with a note about how many other users have this problem. There are never any answers or replies even though some of the number for others with the problem are huge.

As I say, I have only one answer to many questions, my last one, which is why have I switched to Google Chrome. I know the answer to that one.

I so agree with what you say and am in exactly the same position - very sad. Was strong supporter of FF but will have to move elsewhere for my browser after many years with FF

Billcal - A bit of free advice. Google "MyWebSearch" for information and advice to get rid of this malware on your computer. If you don't know where it came from that is Definition No 1 of malware. It usually comes with Fun Web Products and is a known troublemaker.

It's a bit hard to respond now without knowing how clear the questions were and how much information you supplied. Do you have the original question numbers?

macsmodels - A separate thread will always get you a better response. Specific questions please with your system details.

@billcal:

You asked questions about the RealPlayer extension for Firefox.
It is up to Real to provide an update for that extension that works in Firefox 5, so you need to be patient and wait for that.
There are Firefox extensions that have similar features, so check out the Add-ons site.

Thanks for the response. I have just had too many minor frustrations with Firefox over the past year. Each upgrade seems to create more problems. I am really happy with the performance of Google Chrome so far.

Thanks for the suggestions. There is no malware on my computer. It runs very cleanly and I have what CNET rates as the best available Antivirus program on the market -- PC Shield Deluxe. It has kept me out of trouble for the last 3 years. I do virus updates and full scans at least twice a week and have zero operating problems except with some non-working functions on Firefox that I am always able to use successfully on Internet Explorer and now with Google Chrome. I will keep Firefox as a backup browser but it will no longer be my default.

Thanks, I will try those. But this was not my only problem with Firefox. I have had many minor frustrations over the last couple of years. So I will keep Firefox as a backup browser, but not my default.

There seems to be a pattern to your posts. Each is with a different Firefox version, possibly close to the release dates for those new versions. The pattern is that Real rarely if ever updates their product(s) that install a piece into Firefox (i.e., toolbar) in a timely manner to keep the users of their products happy. Real is not the only offender; many Security programs that add toolbars, Google toolbars, Yahoo toolbars, an others, are all guilty. Those developers know where to find the projected release dates for new versions of Firefox, have an opportunity during testing to test and make alterations to their product(s) to make them compatible with upcoming releases. If you are not a pleased customer of a product that interfaces with Firefox the answer is to find a more reliable vendor with currently updated products that offer you similar functionality.

I agree. No answers, and the help line closed during hours the FF website said it would be open. Back to Google Chrome for me.
