I recently downloaded something that inadvertantly installed an Ask.com toolbar. I removed this toolbar via add/remove programs but the search box on the about:home page is still directing me to ask.com search results instead of google.

I have: Changed browser.search.defaultengine to "Google.co.uk" Changed browser.search.defaultenginename to "Google" Changed browser.search.defaulturl to "http://www.google.co.uk/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&q=" Put google.co.uk as "browser.search.order.1"

There is no reference to ask.com or uk.ask anywhere in about:config

Can anyone help?
