All my yahoo mail folders are empty but I can access them through IE; just not Firefox; why?

This morning all of my Yahoo mail folders using Firefox are empty/or inaccessible. I can open them using IE so it's not a Yahoo issue. I much prefer Firefox to IE; so hope this can be resolved. Yesterday I also had trouble with my CHAT feature using Firefox, but again NO problem with IE............what's up?
