Just a note on TITLE Bar missing.

I recently had a problem with (title bar missing), I think that was with Version 19. As of version 20.0.1 there have been no problems the Title bar has not disappeared.

It was never full screen mode.

The title bar is hidden if you disable the menu bar (View > Toolbars) and get the (orange) Firefox menu button.

This can also be caused by a problem with the localstore.rdf file and content is either off screen (i.e. not visible) or hidden otherwise.

I should not have opened my mouth because the title bar is back to its disappearing act. Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's not. As usual it has nothing to do with full screen mode. When the title bar is gone I can still go into full screen mode and come out of it.

There still isn't anything, I can say that is common before it disappears. I'm going to try using FF without the menu bar selected in view.

Using version 21.0.

I just loaded the browser 6x with no title bar then it started working.

When the title bar is not there it causes other problems like when 2 browsers are open and 1 browser is closed, all browsers windows close.

Hi validated, I've been monitoring this for many months now and still do not have a good theory on why the title bar would go missing.

To clarify your switching the menu bar on and off: are you saying that when the menu bar is off, you get a title bar with the orange Firefox button? And when you switch the menu bar back on, instead of the toolbar area shifting down to make room, the menu bar covers up the space that had been the title bar? Does it make any difference whether the browser window is resizable or maximized?

On the point about all windows closing when you close one, this would happen if you use File> Exit, but shouldn't occur otherwise. How are you closing a window when there's no title bar "X" button?

I went for a few weeks without a problem. It just started again.

Switching the menu bar off/on doesn't make any difference. I've used the browser both ways. With and without the menu bar (The orange Firefox button)

The only way to close the window without the title bar is "File>Exit". I can only Maximize when the title bar is present. So, I do understand that File>Exit would close everything. I did open 5 browsers with Title bars and individually closed each.

If there is a "short-cut" to maximize the screen, I can try that (I can't find a short-cut in the menu) Maybe, the title might come back?

The menu equivalents of the minimize/restore/maximize/close buttons are on the window control menu: Alt+Spacebar

alt-space bar maximize work again

I don't know whether it's Firefox's fault or Windows' fault that the title bar isn't painted correctly when the window is "restored" rather than maximized, but at least you have a temporary workaround until the problem is (eventually, hopefully) solved.
