Both machines updated to 17 today.

So do you have the IE Tab extension installed on Firefox on both computers or just the one?.

IE Tab is not a emulator but embeds the Internet Explorer installed on computer in a Firefox tab.

I found and installed the tab on mine. Other computer can not even find it in search. pls advise.

Then you will have to install that extension on the other computer.

Sorry..tried to install..will not take. does not show up in plugins after downloading. refuses to take hold.

will blink on IE for split second then reverts to firefox again. Does not show up as a plug in in settings

It should show up in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions

Found it in extensions. Tried to load it but will not take. Says it downloaded but does not.

Try to click the Tools button on the Tools > Add-ons > Extensions page and check for updates to see if that helps.
