I have FF Version 28.0, do not want 29.0. I'm trying to import Favorites from IE. Instructions say click on the Favorites Button at right end of Navigation Bar, but mine does not have such an icon. It does have the star, but I can't find a way to import/export. I tried exporting from IE, but if it worked they didn't show up in Bookmarks. Please tell me how to do this. I'm migrating from IE because of the Heartbleed thing, but I won't be able to without my Favorites.

You can find the "Import Data from Another Browser" menu item in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)

If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html):
    File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML

See "Import from another browser" and "Import from file":
