Firefox keeps shutting down for no reason!
Firefox keeps shutting down for now apparent reason. I'm typing away and boom, it's just gone! I've lost everything I've typed and have to start all over again!
No errors, no new software, the computer sits on a cooling fan and it hasn't run out of memory!
Am I missing an update? Though I'm NOT really thrilled with the fact that I can NOT choose my own home page! It defaults to the Firefox home page no matter what I put in as my home page in SETUP!
But that's yet another issue!
Please help me with this!
Sincerely,
Rodney

Hi Rodney, since your More System Details shows that you have MySearchDial, I suggest starting with a little malware cleanup.
Open the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, and click the "Installed on" column heading to group the items by date. This should help identify how MySearchDial got installed, probably as an undisclosed part of a bundle, and better let you zero in on unwanted software that may be tampering with your Firefox settings. Take out as much trash as you can here.
You may also want to supplement your regular security software with some of the scanners in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
Regarding the home page change not being saved, could you review this article and see whether anything there helps: How to fix preferences that won't save.
Another common reason that your settings changes might be undone after you exit Firefox is a feature of your utility or security software such as the "Surfing Protection" feature of Advanced SystemCare. You may need to disable such features, at least temporarily.
