I wish to set the default application that Thunderbird uses to read pdf files. In preferences, there are only two options available under the 64-bit version for Linux: Atril or Other. I want to change Atril to Master PDF Editor. It seems that there is a heading in 32-bit T/B for "Applications" in the Preferences choices, but that heading and the defaults that it programs is _ absent_ in the 64-bit version (31.3.0.). So what do I have to do to change the default preference?

Thanx--dougmack

Look for 'Attachments - Incoming' underneath 'Preferences'. You should be able to set the application there for file type PDF.
