After i update to 36.0.1 my mac becomes extrimly slow. Can i uninstall 36.0.1 and reinstall 35.0.0?

I use firefox since long. I update to new versions regularly on my mac os x 10.8 . After i update firefox from 35 to 36 and than 36.0.1 my mac becomes net turned very very slow. I need to go back to version 35. i clean my mac , check internet connections , all r ok. how can i uninstall 36.0.1 and reinstall 35 ur support will be appreciated. thanks mayank rathod dubai , uae

You can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
