I've been having real issues with Firefox and it's shockwave or flash plug ins. They keep on crashing. I've been deleting and re-installing the latest versions and keeps on crashing. I'm about to give up on Firefox and move on with Google Chrome. I don't know what else to do. I keep submitting the crash reports every time they happen....

Unfortunately Adobe products such as Flash and Shockwave are not fixable by Mozilla. We have a few things you can try to reduce the crashing (Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again) but it is ultimately up to Adobe to provide crash fixes.

Try the steps above and let me know if they help.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
